Penelope watched the mist twirl around the mountain. Seated on a ledge, she thought to herself, it’s time to explore. Orange hues coated the warm sky while a lush green lane tripped down the horizon and into a nearby stream. Lights blotted the sky and black color inked the sun. The horizon was growing and so was I. Inching out into the darkness of the mountains with the birds flying around me, it was growing brighter. A strange tune sounded nearby. Ding, ding, ding. The church bells were sounding in the distance. It was time to venture into the unknown.
